Reviews

How reviews work- Reviews will be similar to the great show, X-Play.

5 out of 5 - Everyone will love it.

4 out of 5 - Awesome. Only a few dumb people won't like it because they're stupid.

3 out of 5 - Average. Not awesome. Not awful. But the average person should enjoy it.

2 out of 5 - Meh. It's OK. Not many at all would like. Only hardcore fans would.

1 out of 5. - STAY AWAY! (i.e. anything by Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Ashton Kutcher, etc...)

24 Season 1 DVD

"24" is definitely the best show I have ever seen. For those dumb people unfamiliar with it, one season takes place in the course of 24 hours. Each episode is 1 hour of the day. The first season "takes place on Presidential primary day in Los Angeles, where Jack Bauer and his elite team of CIA agents uncover a plot to assassinate Presidential nominee David Palmer. With only 24 hours to identify the killer and save Palmer's life, Jack must also deal with his strained marriage and the sudden disappearance of his troubled teenage daughter. The clock is ticking..."(credit: TV Tome) As for the show itself, it's full of twists and suspense. Great show......................5 out of 5

As for the DVD. It has-

# Contains all 24 episodes on 6 discs
# Includes alternate ending to season finale
# Exclusive Season 1 intro by Kiefer Sutherland
# Episode guide booklet
# Widescreen anamorphic format

Yea, that's it. Big dissapointment for the extras. Probably only 5 minutes or less of extras....................1 out of 5

School of Rock DVD

OK, my first review will be of the DVD "School of Rock". First, the movie itself. Despite the fact it has Jack Black, the movie is not all that funny. But it definitely has it's parts. It seems like his "real life" persona is so much funnier than his acting one. Which is why the Tenacious D movie should be gold. It's about this bum, Dewey(Black), who lives with his friend. He owes a bunch of rent so he pretends that he is his friend to get a job as a substitute teacher at this prep school. He's also trying to form a band to play at The Battle of the Bands so he can make some money. He finds out the kids are good musiciansa and forms a band with them. Movie is definitely for fans of rock, but, I have no problem with that...therefore, the movie itself gets a - - - - - 4 out of 5

As for the DVD extras. It has-

# Commentary by actor Jack Black and director Richard Linklater
# Commentary by the kids from the film (EXTREMELY annoying)
# "Lessons Learned"
# Jack Black's pitch to Led Zeppelin
# Music video
# MTV's diary of Jack Black
# Kids' Video Diary from the Toronto Film Festival
# Dewey Finn's History of Rock Interactive Feature
# Trailers
# Weblinks

Extras are decent. I guess there couldn't really be THAT much more...Meh, the DVD itself gets a - 4 out of 5
