About

Welcome to PokemonSux, our blog about video games where we discuss video games and any relating media. I call this blog PokemonSux because Pokemon sucks! The Pokemon these days are ridiculous!

Pokemon called KlefkiPokemon called Garbodor

I see keys and…I don’t even want to know what the other thing is. These are actual Pokemon!

But seriously…

My goal is to provide quality content, not the run-of-the-mill shitposts you can find anywhere. I strive to create fun and entertaining content that our audience can enjoy. Please if you have any suggestions about content or how I run this blog then hit me up!

Why Create a Blog About Video Games?

With that quick introduction out of the way, allow me to introduce myself. I go by the name “PocketHater” on this blog. It really goes with the name of the site. I’ve spent hours upon hours playing video games since I was little. Pokemon was among one of my most played games. I loved feeling like a badass foiling large criminal organizations and capturing mythical beasts. But my absolute favorite part about Pokemon was collecting. Each Pokemon I has was unique down to its nature and gender. Unfortunately, once I got older, I learned about the metagame in Pokemon. Natures and genders were no longer special, but they were only useful breeding tools. Eventually, every Pokemon became a soulless clone. The game lost its charm for me from that point on. On the bright side for you and me…

PokemonSux was born!

PS: The most annoying part about this name is auto-correct keeps trying to change PokemonSux into Pokemon Sex.

This Blog Isn’t Really About Pokemon

The title may be PokemonSux, but we aren’t really about Pokemon here. This is a blog about video games, not just Pokemon. Personally, my love strategy games. Games Sid Meier’s Civilization, Age of Mythology, and Starcraft 2 ate up a lot of my childhood. However, these aren’t the only games I like. I will go for any game. From eSports titles like League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to niche titles like Dwarf Fortress or Rimworld, I love pretty much any game that can hold my attention for hours.
